Vice President Harris’ Director of Speechwriting Rejoins West Wing Writers

Washington, D.C. — Today, West Wing Writers announced that Kate Childs Graham has rejoined the firm’s Washington, DC office as a Senior Advisor. Childs Graham returns to the firm from the White House, where she served as Vice President Kamala Harris’s Director of Speechwriting.

Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in speechwriting and strategic communications, Childs Graham will work to expand the firm’s portfolio of progressive and political work while supporting a wide range of clients.

Kate will help our clients find the message to meet the moment.”

During an historic and consequential year at the White House, Childs Graham helped shape the Biden-Harris Administration’s messaging on issues ranging from racial justice and reproductive rights to COVID-19 and climate change. She is one of many West Wing Writers alumni to serve in the Administration. Others in the White House include Jeff Nussbaum (President Biden), Steven Kelly (Vice President Harris), and Zev Karlin-Neumann (Ambassador Susan Rice); other West Wing Writers alumni in the Administration include Megan Rooney and Jasneet Hora (State), Shaan Heng-Devan (Transportation), Dave Bloom (Energy), Laurence Pevsner (US-UN), and Maany Peyvan and Ramya Prabhakar (USAID).

Previously, Childs Graham led speechwriting and messaging operations for the 2020 Democratic National Convention. She served as Director of Communications for Senator Amy Klobuchar and a senior advisor on her presidential campaign. She also wrote speeches for principals and surrogates during the Clinton-Kaine campaign.
