Gabrielle Bruney

Director

One of the first articles Gabrielle ever published as a journalist highlighted the work of an early-career visual artist. The story went viral. Later, the artist reached out to say thanks: she’d sold all her pieces.

Since then, Gabrielle has been hooked on discovering new ideas and using her writing to help amplify them. She has worked for publications like Esquire and Jezebel, covering culture, politics, and women’s rights, profiling Hollywood stars and indie filmmakers, and writing about newsmakers of all stripes.

Her years in journalism taught her how to apply language to concepts that can be tough to put into words. At West Wing Writers, she uses this skill to help clients across media, tech, and professional services develop messaging that sparks conversation and ensures good ideas receive the attention they deserve.

She holds an M.A. in Critical Theory from King’s College London and and M.A. in Arts and Culture Journalism from Columbia Journalism School, where she was awarded the Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship. She earned her B.A. in Music at Wesleyan University and won the Wesleyan Fiction Prize. A native Brooklynite, Gabrielle likes going to museums, seeing live music, and riding her bike around New York City.
