Chandler Dean cut his teeth in comedy working with writers from Full Frontal with Samantha BeeLate Night with Seth Meyers, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

At West Wing Writers, Chandler has written for celebrities, media personalities, and high-profile politicians. He has collaborated with a well-known producer on a memoir, and has written on topics ranging from electoral politics to international diplomacy.

Chandler also leads West Wing Writers’ humor practice, writing jokes, satire, toasts, and roasts for a variety of clients — and hosts “SpeakEasy,” West Wing’s seasonal evening of speechwriting comedy at Caveat in New York City.

Outside of work hours, Chandler has had his writing published in outlets like The New Yorker and Reductress, and he performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He also writes a recurring column for McSweeney’s titled How to Write Every Speech You’ll Ever Need to Give in Your LifeHis online content has garnered millions of views across YouTube and Twitter, and has been featured in The New York Times and TIME Magazine.

Chandler graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a bachelor’s degree in political science and film and television. He currently lives in Brooklyn, and is happy to talk to you at length about the L train.
