Ben Resnik wrote his first speech in a cafeteria, on two hours’ notice. That night, as his words rang through the speakers at the Virginia Democratic Convention, he knew he’d found his calling.
In the years that followed, Ben’s career led him to the cutting edge of political technology, where he crafted tools and drafted arguments that helped activists raise millions of dollars and knock millions of doors. He has earned national press for venture-backed startups, developed top-level strategy for nonprofits redefining campaign finance, and served as product manager for Swing Left, one of the largest progressive organizations of the 2018 election cycle.
Since joining the West Wing Writers team, Ben has helped philanthropists, Fortune 500 CEOs, politicians, and media personalities develop messages for intimate ceremonies, keynote addresses, and the pages of The Washington Post. He has also written under his own byline in the Huffington Post, Campaigns & Elections Magazine, and ThinkProgress.
Ben is a graduate of Brown University and a proud resident of Washington, DC. Outside of writing, he is a bread-baker and a guitarist, and, according to Wahl Grooming, he has one of the three best beards in DC.
