Annie learned the art of storytelling in two very different worlds: High-profile publishing and fast-paced crisis communications. Today, she helps visionary leaders give voice to their ideas and inspire action.
Annie began her career in the editorial departments of Simon & Schuster and Penguin Random House, where she worked with a number of award-winning and New York Times bestselling authors, including Celeste Ng, Derek Thompson, and Nate Silver.
After publishing, she joined the strategic communications and crisis management firm Hiltzik Strategies, helping high-profile individuals, companies, and organizations shape and share their narratives. As a senior writer and later director of strategy, Annie worked alongside the company’s CEO to expand the firm’s writing, editing, and storytelling efforts.
Named one of the “15 Most Powerful Young People in PR,” Annie has wielded the persuasive power of the soundbite to help clients in business, technology, and sports to tell their own stories and shape their personal brand. Her work has appeared on the pages of the New York Times, Forbes, and the Washington Post.
She graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in History and English, before attending the Columbia Publishing Course. When she’s not working, Annie enjoys taking long — longing — walks around dog parks and running a mentorship program at an all-women’s charter school in New York City.
